Suggestions for choosing a fine bed mattress for the recently married couple

By George Dodson

A big chunk of marital issues can either be created or resolved in the bedroom. Therefore, it makes a lot of sense to make this area as comfortable as possible, to enjoy each others company every night. Once you have bought the right furniture, beddings and 'feng shuied' your bed room, you need to think about getting the right mattress as you begin your journey into life, as newlyweds. Here are some tips on how to choose a mattress for newlyweds:

Your Weight

You need to select different types of mattresses depending on the body weight of the couple. Couple who are relatively slim would be able to sleep comfortably on a full mattress. However, these types of beds will not be suitable for those couples in which one or either of the persons are heavily built. In such scenarios, couples are advised to buy a queen or king sized mattress instead.

Physical Limitations

If both or one of the partners has a handicap, they will require more space to create room for any specials equipment. Under such circumstances, a queen or king sized mattress is always the best option.

How close would you like to sleep

The intimacy is more for the newly weds who may like to spend time and sleep embracing each other. Regular size beds would be ideal for them as it creates more intimacy and passion since it does not leave much space between the couples. On the other hand, if you prefer your own space, then queen or king sized bed, will provide the necessary amount of room you are after.

Provide for their sleeping positions

People have different sleeping positions, which according to psychologists will tend to indicate an individual's personality. For instance, some people like to sleep in a fetal, log, soldier, yearner, starfish and free faller position. One of the worst things you can do to your partner is to try to amend their sleeping habits. This is due to the fact that the sleeping positions are adopted over a long time period by an individual. For the harmony in marriage it would be ideal not to attempt to alter the partners sleeping positions. The best approach is simply to accommodate for each others patterns, by getting the type of mattress that accommodates both of your sleeping patterns.

Adjusting to married life by compromising some of your preferences is very important even while choosing a mattress which accommodate your preferences. So, while selecting mattresses for the wedded couple, you have to take into considerations the needs and preferences of both. Consider the best compromise for you and your partner. You will have a happier marriage.
